The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger was an American masked lawman who roamed the western United States fighting for justice with his Native American sidekick Tonto. He is a legendary figure in the American culture and has appeared in many different media, including television and radio shows, films, books, and comics.

The character of the Lone Ranger was created by writer Fran Striker, who was hired by radio station owner George Trendle to develop original peraasia loan characters for his new series. The show first aired on September 13, 1949 and ran for eight seasons before being cancelled in 1957. During the TV series’ run Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels starred as the Ranger and Tonto respectively.

Throughout the storyline, the Lone Ranger fights against corrupt individuals and organizations in the West, as well as defends those who cannot protect themselves. His motivations are often based on revenge and the desire to make the world a better place.

Striker used a variety of strategies to distinguish the Ranger from other cowboy heroes. For example, he made the Lone Ranger an antihero rather than a hero. This was done in order to emphasize the difference between good and evil. He also made the Lone Ranger a unique figure by having him ride a white horse and wear a mask.

In addition, the Lone Ranger never drinks or smokes and he is never seen without his mask. He also uses precise speech free of slang and colloquialisms. Striker also sought to avoid showing criminals in enviable positions of wealth or power. Lastly, he avoided giving the Ranger a love interest or wife.

The Lone Ranger spawned a spinoff called The Green Hornet, which depicts the Lone Ranger’s son, Britt Reid, alias the Green Hornet, who fights crime with a similar secret identity and a sidekick. Reid embraced this persona in order to infiltrate real crime syndicates and aid the police.

Several children’s books and animated films have been based on the Lone Ranger. One of the most popular was The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock (1998,). This movie introduces Littlefoot’s grandfather, who tells the young dinosaur that he is the masked hero known as the Lone Ranger.

The Impostor

The Impostor is a rogue AI whose primary goals are to kill Crewmates and cause critical Sabotage that the Crew fails to fix. They also have a secondary goal of avoiding detection, which they accomplish by hiding, shutting doors, and utilizing their ability to teleport. The Impostor can also hide in vents, which pauses the kill and Sabotage cooldowns. During game development, The Impostor’s kill cooldown could also be paused by hiding in a vent and viewing Security, Doorlog, Vitals, etc. This was changed for game balancing reasons.

In their view, The Impostor kills the victim by opening a rather large mouth full of razor-sharp teeth and impaling the target’s head with a spear-like tongue, killing them. The scribbled corpse will eventually collapse after a few seconds. If The Impostor is wearing the Right Hand Man skin, he will also throw a thumbs up with each kill.

One of the Impostor’s attacks depicts them snapping a Crewmate’s neck, implying that they are very strong. The Impostor can also rip the head off of a Crewmate by swinging their axe, as well as shoot them with an laser. The Impostor can also stab a Crewmate several times, as shown by the blood on the screen, or cut them into pieces using a power tool.

A player who is The Impostor can also hide in vents, allowing them to hide from the Crew and pause the kill and Sabotage cooldowns until they leave the vent. This can be helpful for avoiding discovery by the Crew, although if the Crew enters a room where The Impostor is hiding, they will eject him.

The rogue AI can also use the “Report Body” button to reveal a dead Crewmate. This will start an emergency meeting, which the Crew can use to discuss who the Impostor is. This can be used to gain trust or for various other purposes.

The Impostor primarily eliminates the Crew by killing them during gameplay, although the Crew can also help to deter The Impostor’s efforts through a combination of finishing tasks and fooling or confusing them into ejecting innocent players. Depending on the game options, there can be anywhere from one to three Impostors in the game. Each player has an equal chance of being The Impostor, regardless of their record as a Crewmate or whether they have played as a Crewmate before.
